The Skills Relaxation (Instruction 6) Explained in Simple Words
Many readers will miss this rule. For serial 2 (Stenotypist) and serial 3 (Data Entry Operator), the ad has a one-time relaxation of the skill requirement at the time of initial appointment:
- Stenotypist: 80/40 w.p.m. shorthand and typing, and computer literacy.
- Data Entry Operator: 10,000 key depressions per hour.
- If none of the candidates holds the required skill certification at the time of selection, the selected candidates must acquire the prescribed proficiency through departmental on-the-job training after joining, within the probation period.
- Their proficiency will be assessed before confirmation. If they fail to acquire it, it will be dealt with under the applicable probation and service rules.
What this means for you: if you meet the degree / Intermediate requirement but do not yet have a typing or data-entry certificate, you may still apply. Do not treat it as a promise, though: you must reach the speed during probation, or confirmation is at risk. Practise now. A free typing test online is enough to track your speed.
Age Limit and Age Relaxation
The table prints 18-28 years for all three posts. Instruction 4 of the ad says: “All the candidates of Balochistan domicile shall be entitled to an upper–general age relaxation plus five years general age relaxation.” Other relaxation claims are considered as admissible under Establishment Division SRO No. 1079(I)/93 (4 Nov 1993) and O.M. No. 9/2/91-R-5 (24 June 2010), as amended.

NJP’s maximum ages are the figures the portal sets, and they differ between the Assistant and the other two posts.
