Notice vs Official Page: What Differs (Read This First)
We compared the 26 October notice with NUTECH’s own admissions page on 27 October 2026. Most of it agrees, but a few things do not, and you should know before you pay anything:
- Registration deadline: the notice says 25 December 2026. The official schedule table says NUET-1 registration runs 25 Sep – 29 Dec 2026, and the banner image says 25 Sep – 19 Dec. NUTECH has not explained the gap, so treat 19 December as the safe date and confirm by phone (051-5463983).
- Programme list: the notice lists 13 programmes including BBA, BS Environmental Science and Civil Engineering Technology. The official page’s programme list shows 12 names: it has BS Industrial Engineering and BET (Civil) but does not show BBA or Environmental Science. Eligibility rules for BBA and Environmental Science are therefore not confirmed on the official page. Ask the admission office before you apply for those two.
- Season label: the page header still says “Admission Open For Fall 2026”, while the schedule banner says “Fall – 2027”. The NUET-1 date (3 January 2027) is the same everywhere.
NUET Schedule 2026-27: All Four Tests
This is NUTECH’s published schedule. You register for one test at a time; pick the one that fits your result date.
| Test | Online registration | Test date | Centre |
| NUET-1 | 25 Sep 2026 – 29 Dec 2026 (notice: 25 Dec) | Sun, 3 Jan 2027 | NUTECH, Islamabad |
| NUET-2 | 4 Jan 2027 – 16 Mar 2027 | Sun, 21 Mar 2027 | NUTECH, Islamabad |
| NUET-3 | 22 Mar 2027 – 18 May 2027 | Sun, 23 May 2027 | Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar |
| NUET-4 | 24 May 2027 – 10 Jul 2027 | 16–21 Jul 2027 (final date to be announced) | Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi, Multan, Gilgit |
After the tests: first merit list in the 2nd week of August 2027; orientation and start of session in the 1st week of September 2027 (official page).

13 Undergraduate Programmes at NUTECH (Fall 2027)
| Group | Programmes |
| Engineering (4) | BS Civil Engineering, BS Mechanical Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering, BS Computer Engineering |
| Engineering Technology (1) | BS Civil Engineering Technology (BET Civil), a separate category with a lower semester fee |
| Computing & emerging tech (6) | BS Computer Science, BS Software Engineering, BS Artificial Intelligence, BS Cyber Security, BS Information Technology, BS Data Science |
| Other (2) | BS Environmental Science, BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) |
Note: NUTECH’s own programme list also shows BS Industrial Engineering, which is not in the notice. See the “differs” section above.
Eligibility: Who Can Apply
Basic rule: HSSC (FSc), A-Level, DAE or an equivalent qualification, plus the programme’s own requirement below. The NUET is mandatory for the engineering programmes and is the 70% part of merit for all.
| Programme | SSC / O-Level | HSSC / A-Level | Accepted subject groups |
| BS Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering | 50% | 60% | FSc Pre-Engineering or Pre-Medical with Additional Mathematics or Condensed Mathematics; ICS (or equivalent with Math, Physics and Computer Science); DAE in the relevant discipline |
| BS CS, SE, AI, Cyber Security, Data Science, IT | 50% | 50% | FSc Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical or ICS with any Math combination; HSSC with Mathematics; DAE (all disciplines) |
| BET (Civil) | 50% | 50% | FSc Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical or ICS; DAE (Civil) |
| BS Environmental Science, BBA | Not confirmed | Not confirmed | Not published on NUTECH’s page when we checked. A third-party listing says 50% for non-engineering programmes. Confirm with the admission office. |
Pre-medical students: NUTECH accepts FSc Pre-Medical for the engineering programmes, but only “with Additional Mathematics or Condensed Mathematics”. The admissions page has a Condensed Mathematics section for this.

Merit Formula: How Your Aggregate Is Calculated
| Component | Weightage |
| SSC / O-Level / equivalent | 10% |
| HSSC / A-Level / DAE (complete) / equivalent | 20% |
| NUTECH Entry Test (SAT Subject score for international students) | 70% |
The entry test carries most of the weight, so spend most of your preparation time on the NUET. NUTECH also provides an online aggregate calculator. Four test dates exist; NUTECH’s scholarship rule uses the “best of all entry tests” for a batch, but we found no written retake policy, so ask the office before planning a second attempt.
NUTECH Fee Structure (Official Table)
Money facts: the application processing fee is Rs 5,000. Semester fee for most BS programmes is Rs 160,000; BET (Civil) is Rs 92,500. NUTECH states “fee is subject to revision”.
| Type of fee | PKR | USD |
| Application processing fee (at registration, non-refundable) | 5,000 | 200 |
| Admission fee (one-time, non-refundable) | 35,000 | 1,290 |
| Security deposit (one-time, refundable) | 20,000 | 1,000 |
| Miscellaneous charges | 7,500 | 300 |
| Semester fee, BET (Civil) only | 92,500 | 3,000 |
| Semester fee, all other UG programmes | 160,000 | 3,500 |
Rough first-semester cost (our own sum from the table above, not a NUTECH figure): 35,000 + 20,000 + 7,500 + 160,000 = Rs 222,500 for most BS programmes; for BET (Civil) it is Rs 155,000. The Rs 5,000 processing fee is paid earlier, at registration. This table is labelled by NUTECH for the current admission cycle; a 2027-specific revision was not published when we checked.
Refund policy (official): 100% refund of fee (less registration and admission processing fee) up to day 10 of the semester, 80% up to day 15, 60% up to day 20, 50% up to day 30, and no refund from day 31 (security deposit excepted).

NUTECH Talent Scholarships at Admission
These apply to first-semester tuition only. Later scholarships follow the NUTECH Talent Scholarship Policy.

| 1st in the NUET series (best of all tests for the batch) | 100% of first-semester tuition |
| 2nd in the NUET series (minimum 90th percentile) | 75% of first-semester tuition |

Documents to Keep Ready
NUTECH’s official page says originals plus three attested photocopies are submitted after admission confirmation, when you join. Keep these ready; the online form needs your marks and scans:
- Original SSC / equivalence certificate and detailed marks sheet
- HSSC / A-Level / DAE (or equivalent) certificate and detailed marks sheet. A “hope certificate” is accepted if the result has not come yet
- CNIC or B-Form, plus attested CNIC copy of father/guardian
- Medical fitness certificate from a registered doctor of a government hospital
- Undertaking on stamp paper
- Equivalence certificate (IBCC) if you studied abroad or took A/O-Levels
- Recent photograph and scans of all of the above (the portal may ask for more)
How to Apply Online: Step by Step

Go to nutech.edu.pk/admissions → Undergraduate → “Online Registration” → “Click Here to Apply”. You can also go directly to nims.nutech.edu.pk/web/signin.
Use the “Sign up” tab with your own name, mobile number, email and CNIC. The portal note says that after sign-up your Application / Voucher number is your Login ID and your CNIC number is the default password. Change it if the portal lets you and keep it private.
Enter personal details, SSC and HSSC/A-Level/DAE marks (or “appearing” status), and your programme preferences. Check your subject group against the eligibility table above first.
Choose the NUET date (NUET-1 on 3 Jan 2027 if you apply now) and pay the Rs 5,000 application processing fee. NUTECH has a “Learn How to Pay Fee Online” guide on the admissions page. Keep the payment receipt.
Review everything, submit, and download your test slip / roll number. Take it with your original CNIC to the test centre.
Download the three sample papers (Pre-Engineering, Computer Science, Pre-Medical & DAE) from the admissions page and practise. NUTECH also lists a computer-based test tutorial on its site.
Results: nutech.edu.pk/nuet-result. Merit lists: nutech.edu.pk/ug-merit-list. If selected, pay the admission fee and submit original documents.
Steps 3 to 6 are written from the portal note, the official admissions page and the notice; we did not log in or create an account, so the exact screen order may differ slightly.
Photo and document size: if the portal rejects your scans, shrink them free with the Educativz Image Resizer and clean a photo background with the Background Remover.
NUET Test Pattern: What Is Known (and What Is Not)
Honest note: NUTECH’s older NUET pages (from the 2021 cycle) described the test as 200 multiple-choice questions in 3 hours, taken from HSSC textbooks, with Mathematics 40%, Physics 30%, Chemistry or Computer Science 20% and English 10%, and no negative marking. We found no current page that repeats these numbers, so treat them as unconfirmed for NUET-1 2027 and rely on the official sample papers.
What you can do now: download the three official sample papers from the admissions page, revise FSc Mathematics and Physics, and practise on a computer because the Islamabad test is computer-based.
What Is Not Confirmed Yet
- The exact registration closing date for NUET-1 (19, 25 or 29 December: see above).
- Eligibility rules for BBA and BS Environmental Science.
- The 2027 NUET question count, marks and syllabus (only older pages found).
- Hostel availability and fees: not found on the admissions page.
- PEC accreditation of each engineering programme: not shown on the admissions page, so check the PEC website and ask the university.
- Merit list dates beyond “2nd week of August”.
Karna / Nahi Karna
Karna:
- Register on the official portal (nims.nutech.edu.pk) and finish before 19 December.
- Match your FSc group with the eligibility table (Pre-Medical needs Additional or Condensed Maths for engineering).
- Pick an early test (NUET-1 or NUET-2) so you keep a spare attempt later.
- Call 051-5463983 to confirm the closing date and BBA / Environmental Science rules.
- Keep payment receipts and screenshots of your submitted form.
Nahi karna:
- Do not pay any “agent” for a seat. Admission is by NUET merit through the portal.
- Do not share your login ID or CNIC password.
- Do not wait for the last day: portals slow down near deadlines.
- Do not rely on social-media posts for dates; use nutech.edu.pk.
