Section 01

Pakistan Prize Bond 2026 – Quick Overview

The essentials, in one place.

A Pakistan Prize Bond is a government savings instrument issued by the Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS), a department of the Ministry of Finance. Instead of paying regular interest, most denominations give bondholders a chance to win a cash prize through a quarterly draw, while the original amount you paid for the bond remains fully safe and can be encashed at any time at face value.

As of 2026, six prize bond denominations are active: Rs. 100, Rs. 200, Rs. 750, Rs. 1,500, and the two registered Premium Prize Bonds of Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 40,000. Draws for each denomination are held every three months at different cities across Pakistan, supervised by the State Bank of Pakistan's Banking Services Corporation.

What is the official source for Pakistan Prize Bond information?

How to Check Your Prize Bond Winning Number

Get this right before assuming you've won.

  • Confirm the denomination printed on your bond matches the draw list you are checking — a Rs. 750 number means nothing on the Rs. 1,500 list.
  • Confirm the draw date — each quarterly draw has its own separate result.
  • Match your complete bond number, digit by digit, against the official list — not just the last few digits.
  • Cross-check on the official National Savings list (Section 5 or 6) — do not rely only on a social media post or a forwarded WhatsApp list.
  • If your number matches, keep the original bond safe and follow the official claim procedure at an SBP BSC field office, a National Savings Centre, or an authorised commercial bank.

Important Things to Know About Prize Bonds

Practical points every bondholder should keep in mind.

Before You Check a Result
  • Double-check the denomination and draw date — they are the two most common sources of confusion.
  • Use only the official National Savings website or an official downloaded list.
  • Keep your original bond in a safe place — it is required to claim any prize.
Claiming & Ongoing Ownership
  • Winnings are claimed at SBP BSC field offices, National Savings Centres, or authorised commercial banks.
  • Premium (Registered) bond profit and prize money are paid directly into the registered bank account — no manual claim needed.
  • Prize claims generally have a limited claim period from the date of the draw — check current rules before assuming an old prize can still be claimed.
