The program descriptions above come from the ad. Seats and fees come from the official prospectuses, not from the newspaper ad (see below).

Who Can Apply

  • HSSC Pre-Medical or an equivalent examination (the ad gives A-Level and 12th grade as examples) duly certified by IBCC, with minimum 60% marks. This applies to all three programs.
  • Pharm-D only: you must also score at least 25% passing marks in the entry test.
  • All three: candidate’s PRC and domicile of Sindh Province. The OD prospectus affidavit adds that admission is cancelled with immediate effect if the domicile is found fake.

If your result is from a foreign board or A-Level, get the IBCC equivalence certificate first – the ad says the exam must be “duly certified by IBCC”.

Seats and Admission Categories (Official Prospectuses)

The newspaper ad does not give seat numbers. The official Pharm-D, DPT and Optometry prospectuses (2026-27) say:

Program Seats printed in the prospectus
Pharm-D 200 seats: Open Merit (Morning) 60 · Self-Finance (Morning) 40 · Self-Finance (Evening) 100. Admission is on a merit-cum-choice basis in both categories.
DPT 100 seats per batch: 50 open merit + 50 self-finance, at the Ojha Campus, Karachi.
OD 50 seats

The Pharm-D prospectus says the 60 open-merit seats are reserved for Sindh-domicile candidates who have studied Matric / O Level and Inter / A Level (as worded there), and that self-finance seats go to candidates who meet the open-merit eligibility, selected on merit-cum-choice. Read the full wording in the prospectus before choosing a category.

How to Apply Online, Step by Step

1
Read the prospectus
Download the prospectus for your program from the official DUHS notice or from admissions.duhs.edu.pk (the ad says prospectuses are on the DUHS website). Check eligibility, seats and fees.
2
Open the online form
Go to admission-duhs.effii.app/application/index.php. The page is the “DUHS – Applicant Portal” with Create an account, Login and Forgot password options. New applicants create an account first.
3
Keep your documents ready
Have your HSSC / A-Level result, IBCC certificate, PRC and domicile details and CNIC / B-Form handy. The ad does not list the exact documents, so follow the form’s own list.
4
Choose your program(s)
You may apply to more than one program – Pharm-D, DPT and OD. A separate Rs 3,000 fee applies to each program you choose.
5
Pay the processing fee online
Rs 3,000 per program is non-refundable and non-adjustable and is payable online only. Keep the payment proof.
6
Complete and submit before 4 December 2026
The ad asks candidates to complete and submit the online application form. Do not leave it to the last day, when the portal can be slow.
7
Watch the website for the entry test
Date, venue and time will be announced on the DUHS website. One single test is held for all three programs.

Note: only the portal’s login page is visible without an account, so the exact screens after login are not described here.

Entry Test: What We Know

  • A single entry test is held for all five-year programs: Pharm-D, DPT and OD.
  • Pharm-D needs at least 25% passing marks in the test.
  • Date, venue and time: to be communicated through the DUHS website.
  • The ad and prospectuses we read do not give the syllabus, marks weightage, number of questions or test duration.

Last Year (2025-26) for Comparison – Not This Year’s Rules

DUHS has not yet published the 2026-27 merit formula or test date. For planning only, here is what happened last year (2025-26). Treat it as a guide, not a promise:

  • Merit formula (Pharm-D, official final merit list 2025-26): Matric / O Level 10% + Inter / A Level 40% + Entry Test 50%. See the DUHS final merit list PDF. The 2026-27 prospectuses we read do not repeat this formula.
  • Timeline (unofficial blog and result-site reports): the form opened around 10 November 2025 and closed on 13 December 2025; the DPT-related entry test was reported for 11 January 2026; Pharm-D interviews, DPT reporting and merit lists followed in January 2026.
  • Test style (guides, not DUHS): single-best-answer MCQs; candidates usually prepare Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English. DUHS has not published an official syllabus.
  • Last year’s application fee was reported as Rs 2,500; this year’s ad says Rs 3,000 per program.

So if the pattern repeats, expect the test roughly four to six weeks after the 4 December 2026 deadline – but wait for the official notice.

What Is Not Stated Yet

  • Entry test date, venue, time and syllabus
  • Merit formula (weightage of HSSC marks and test marks)
  • Merit list and class start dates
  • OD fee structure and a merit vs self-finance seat split for OD
  • Exact document checklist inside the online portal

We have not guessed any of these. Check the official site and the prospectus.

Karna / Nahi karna

Karna:
✔ Read the prospectus of each program and compare fees before applying.
✔ Create your account and submit well before 4 December 2026.
✔ Apply to more than one program if you want options (Rs 3,000 each), but only to programs you are eligible for.
✔ Check admissions.duhs.edu.pk for the entry test date after you apply.
Nahi karna:
✘ Don’t apply if you lack Sindh PRC and domicile – the ad requires it for all three programs.
✘ Don’t pay any agent or send the fee to a personal account; the fee is paid online on the official portal only.
✘ Don’t expect a refund or transfer of the Rs 3,000 fee – it is non-refundable and non-adjustable.
✘ Don’t trust test dates or merit formulas from social media until DUHS announces them.
