We read every row of the advertisement, one by one. All three rows say “from retired personnel of Armed Forces”.

Seat Count Check: 1 + 8 + 1 = 10

The ad prints the seats as “01”, “08” and “01”. The total of 10 is our own addition. The ad does not mention a quota, so we do not state one.

Who Can Apply

The conditions also say: ex-servicemen for Vigilance Staff must be medically category “A” and their character at the time of discharge must be “Exemplary” or equivalent. Officials who were retired / weeded out on disciplinary grounds, or dismissed or debarred from future employment, are not eligible. Civilians and those who did not complete rank / coloured service cannot apply.

• Photocopy of Course Report (intelligence course for the Field posts; supervisory clerk course if you have it for the Staff post)

• Attested copies of all educational and experience certificates (SSC and others)
• 2 recent passport size photographs
• Fee deposit receipt (Rs 400)
• Postal / courier receipt (keep for yourself)

Important Conditions From the Ad

• Only eligible / shortlisted candidates are called for the test / interview. No TA/DA.
• The written / screening test is conducted by the WAPDA Exam Cell.
• No further age relaxation beyond the prescribed limit. Age is calculated as on the last date of receipt of applications.
• Original documents must be presented at the time of interview.
• Ex-servicemen for Vigilance Staff must be medically category “A”, and character at discharge “Exemplary” or equivalent.
• Officials retired / weeded out on disciplinary grounds, dismissed or debarred are not eligible.
• The initial appointment is on probation for 1 year, then regularization on satisfactory performance. Services can be dispensed with without notice during probation if work or conduct is unsatisfactory.
• Applications with incomplete / incorrect information or received after the last date are rejected. Bogus information or documents found at any stage mean termination.
• Roll number slips with test centre, timing and date are sent to candidates.
• WAPDA can withhold or cancel the recruitment process at any stage without giving a reason.

What Is Not Confirmed

• Last date: not printed. Our 19 November 2026 is an estimate (4 Nov + 15 days).
• Salary: the ad prints only BPS-14 and BPS-11, not rupee amounts. We quote no figure.
• Equivalent ranks: Navy and Air Force equivalents of Naib Subedar / Havildar are not listed.
• Official notice: WAPDA’s Careers page lists a “Job Opportunities in WAPDA-Director Vigilance WAPDA House, Lahore” PDF dated 3 Nov 2026. We saw the listing but did not open the PDF, so we cannot say it is word-for-word the same as the newspaper ad. Use the official notice page to download the form.
• Fee account number: read from the ad image; verify against the official form.
• Test date, test centre and syllabus: not announced. Roll number slips come later.
• Duty station: the ad gives a Lahore address for applications but does not say where the vigilance staff will be posted.
• Whether the same ad appears in other newspapers on other dates: we checked only The Express Tribune e-paper of 4 Nov 2026.
